Hi. I have pasted below the e-mail I sent out to the committee. Please respond to it here.

Hey workshop committee members,
Not so many people signed up to help us out, but it doesn't matter too much because this event will basically run itself. What we'll need to do is mainly to advertise. Normally, we advertise in the Peak and on mySFU. Perhaps this time we will also advertise in the weekly sfss newsletter. Do you guys have any other ideas? Do you know how to advertise on the TV's around campus?

Then of course we need help setting up on the actual day, but I think we can appeal to people for that later.

We're not going to need any meetings for this. What I'm going to do is to put up a section for this committee on our Forums on our website at http://www.clubforthecure.com . We can discuss who we take care of what and such there, and it'll eliminate the need of any meetings. It'll be your job to check frequently (i.e. once every 2 days MINIMUM). BUT if we find it doesn't work, we'll revert back to the original meeting process. It's just that it's hard to coordinate our schedules, that's all.

hey,
i know how to put it up on the tvs around campus, so i can do that. i think that we should start advertising it pretty soon. if you could write up a blurb about the event, and send it to me, kyle. i just need the confirmed date, time and location as well as a little about the event. from what i remember it was the first week of march, in the atrium cafe, and i don't remember the times.

Before we advertise, we have to make sure exactly what we're doing. What do we want to do to get ppl to come? Should we offer free snacks and beverages?

I figure we'll need something ...

So the forum idea for organizing events was no good, since noone really came here to discuss things. Also, committees never really worked out, so we're going to revert back to the original style of meetings that cover all our events.. the time consuming way.
